The Art Rooms get involved in the Saltaire Arts Trail

Over this Bank Holiday weekend (27 - 29 May), Saltaire will host the tenth Saltaire Arts Trail.

We are happy to join the raft of emerging and established artists in the local area to celebrate the village’s rich arts heritage.

The Art Rooms will be opening its doors to showcase the work of our designer Jacky Al-Samarraie. Her work includes beautiful home-ware such as table mats, coasters, bone china mugs, cushions, screenprints, greeting cards, postcards, and notebooks.

As well as our own work, we will also be hosting a number of local artists, including:

Robert Herringshaw, a social and documentary photographer. Robert is a member of the Royal Photographic Society and was awarded a RPS distinction in 2014.

Caroline Hudson, a Richmond-based ceramic artist and painter, applies the same practice to a variety of materials. Using texture Caroline builds depth across her work.

Hannah Watson creates contemporary, knitted textile art and accessories inspired by the complexity of nature.

Samantha Yates, a stained glass producer, uses both the traditional leaded lights methods and copper foil (Tiffany style) with new and used glass, to produce stained glass panels and hangings.

Maddy Smith is a Yorkshire based fine artist who explores the biological development of natural forms through the consideration of their vulnerability to their own individual environment.
